Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that you are a vital part of our supportive team environment. Our outpatient office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will utilize telehealth technologies to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and follow-up consultations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention for clients experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them navigate their pathways toward recovery.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to formulate treatment plans tailored to meet each client's needs.

• Regularly update clinical and progress notes, ensuring all documentation is thorough and adheres to department guidelines.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary health care teams to report patient progress and strategize treatment modifications based on ongoing assessments.

• Engage with community resource groups as a representative of Shirley Mental Health Services, contributing to committees focused on addressing broader socio-economic challenges impacting our client population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will serve a diverse clientele in an outpatient setting, including individuals facing mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and various life stressors. Our clients range in age and background, providing you an opportunity to work with a wide array of mental health conditions and develop a range of therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• An independent license in California such as Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of mental health counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in outpatient mental health services, particularly with a diverse population, is strongly preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and an understanding of contemporary therapeutic techniques will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
