Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide trauma-informed counseling services to a diverse clientele, addressing their individual, relational, and familial needs.

• Utilize Christian counseling principles in therapy for clients seeking faith-based guidance, ensuring their spiritual and emotional needs are met.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with clients' goals and mental health objectives, measuring progress through consistent follow-ups.

• Engage with local churches to provide counseling services, enhancing community ties and expanding our reach.

• Participate in community outreach initiatives to establish new referral sources and increase your caseload.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and clinical counselors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintain accurate client records and progress notes in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.

• Stay in open communication with the center director regarding client scheduling, caseload management, and availability.

Your work at Soul Restore will involve serving a variety of clients, from individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma to couples navigating relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current independent licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, D.C. is essential.

• Strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques and principles.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, with a specific focus on trauma-informed practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Compassion and empathy, coupled with a commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of one year of experience in trauma counseling is required.

• Desire for dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is a plus.

• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is advantageous; candidates willing to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire are encouraged to apply.
