This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to provide telehealth counseling to diverse populations in New York City, making a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of individuals in need.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule. Our telehealth platform is designed to facilitate effective communication and therapy while maintaining patient confidentiality and comfort. You will have the chance to work with a diverse client base during standard business hours, primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility for scheduling based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique experiences, challenges, and needs.

• Develop customized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, keeping in mind each patient's individual, cultural, and personal contexts.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address mental health concerns, foster resilience, and promote overall well-being.
\n
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies that benefit patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support effectively during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to support their journey to recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all records reflect current treatment and progress.

• Engage in case conferences, participate in team meetings, and attend cultural competency training to enhance service delivery and team effectiveness.

• Stay current on research, best practices in therapy, and cultural nuances that may affect mental health delivery.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and cultural competence, with a comprehensive approach to therapy.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with culturally responsive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and a composed demeanor in challenging situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at establishing rapport with a diverse array of individuals.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
\n
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining boundaries in therapeutic relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing collective patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
