Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases from the initial assessment to the completion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through comprehensive assessments and practical observations.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that strategies are aligned with best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse therapeutic modalities to effectively address client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate on intervention strategies with other mental health specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers to provide holistic care.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that impede recovery, proactively employing strategies to support clients’ adherence to treatment plans.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges linked to clients’ conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various behavioral health concerns. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing the unique needs of each client, adapting therapeutic approaches accordingly.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment plans efficiently.

• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders, is highly desirable.
\n
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, along with a strong understanding of the effects and management of psychotropic medications.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven abilities to convey complex information to clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

• A compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
