Job Description
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Mount Vernon, NY. This in-office position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is skilled in bookkeeping, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions. A minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience in construction or manufacturing is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare sales tax reports
- Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
- Process payroll
- Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience in construction or manufacturing
- Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and schedule deadlines
This position does not require CPA certification. We welcome qualified accountants, bookkeepers, and accounting professionals with relevant experience.
