Step into a rewarding opportunity this fall as an Occupational Therapist supporting students during a maternity leave assignment. Beginning in early September and continuing through December—with the potential for extension into the full school year—this full-time contract role places you in an educational setting where your expertise will truly make an impact. You'll collaborate closely with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver vital services and ensure continuity of care for students.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting
• Understanding of IEP processes and educational documentation
• Team-oriented spirit and excellent communication skills
• Adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Commitment to student-centered therapy, promoting independence and participation
• Pediatric fieldwork or previous experience supporting student caseloads is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions for a developing student caseload
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and service providers to facilitate student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and progress updates
• Supervise and mentor the on-site COTA, promoting best practices
• Keep thorough, compliant records aligned with district and state requirements
• Provide strategies and modifications to optimize student engagement in classrooms
