Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify students’ mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and tailored to the specific needs of students and their families.

• Provide a combination of individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, school counselors, and special education staff to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s care.

• Offer crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and safety planning for students in crisis situations.

• Advocate for students’ rights and well-being while connecting families with community resources and support services.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives that promote mental health awareness and educate families about available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on working with a diverse range of students, including those from various cultural backgrounds and those experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active and unrestricted LCSW licensure in the State of Texas.
