Business Development Manager

I'm tremendously excited to be partnering with one of the top global law firms on their search to add a Business Development Manager to their growing Financial Institutions team!


In this position, you will work closely with senior leaders within Financial Institutions practice and respective partners to implement business development initiatives aimed at developing client relationships, identify new business opportunities and successfully position the Firm amongst the best in this practice area. The preferred candidate will serve as the go-to liaison and will develop and execute client strategy, while managing marketing initiatives for the Financial Institution practice group. I'd love to engage with professionals that have previous Legal Business Development experience, preferably those who have previous Financial Institutions practice area experience. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity and must lead by example for junior staff members.


Core Responsibilities:

• Support strategic initiatives of the FI group including thought leadership and other marketing campaigns, support for the group's key clients and strengthening relationships with local counsel.
• Taking the lead and supporting on pitch preparation and capability/marketing collateral and assist with the creation of firm-wide materials, as appropriate
• Supporting the practice in ensuring that all pitches/proposals to clients, new engagements and closed deals are captured. Ensuring that this information is processed and disseminated internally and externally
• Working on the legal directories process, including drafting submissions and liaising with partners and researchers
