This full-time, remote position focuses on supporting patients in their recovery journeys from substance use disorders. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work in a flexible environment while maintaining professional connections with colleagues. You will operate within a supportive structure, with a collaborative team dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. Our core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts based on patient needs, ensuring availability for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge the needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, tailoring interventions to assist them effectively.

• Craft individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to promote enduring recovery.

• Lead individual counseling sessions, creating a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that fosters open communication and trust.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage peer support while focusing on collective healing and shared experiences in recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all facets of a patient’s well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies related to substance use, equipped to respond promptly and effectively to ensure patient safety.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, available resources, and effective recovery strategies, promoting awareness and proactive engagement.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal guidelines, ensuring compliance and accuracy in patient records.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing your insights and collaborating on patient care strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Demonstrated understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and principles of recovery-oriented care.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy within addiction treatment settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.

• Ability to adhere to ethical standards and maintain professional boundaries to ensure a high level of patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to USD 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates.
