Position Overview

Viability Physical Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our rehabilitation center located in Fort Myers, Florida. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients as you provide individualized care and rehabilitation strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries by developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, including exercises, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and assistive technologies, to promote healing and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, track responses to therapy, and adjust treatment plans in response to rehabilitation goals.
• Engage with patients and their families to ensure a thorough understanding of therapy procedures and proper use of assistive devices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry practices through ongoing education, including workshops and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team serves a diverse clientele ranging from children to seniors, all with various diagnoses and levels of physical capability. You will engage in direct patient care, working closely with individuals who have experienced traumatic injuries, surgical recoveries, chronic conditions, and mobility challenges. Your expertise will guide patients through their rehabilitation journeys, fostering independence and improving their functional abilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Basic computer and word processing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Ability to adapt to various patient needs and demonstrate flexibility in treatment approaches.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy is preferred, though we also welcome new graduates eager to learn.
