Licensed Physical Therapist in Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Harmony in Motion Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in North Fort Myers, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite position where you will leverage your clinical expertise to help patients recover and regain their independence following injury, surgery, or illness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' physical capabilities in order to establish individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing modern techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment use, to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in accordance with patients' responses.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and self-management strategies to promote recovery outside the clinical setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and maintain licensure, including attending workshops and participating in professional associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients recovering from various conditions and procedures, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain situations. Our patient-centered approach ensures that treatments are tailored to meet individual needs and therapeutic goals, fostering a sense of trust and motivation among our patients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for patient interaction and collaboration with team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and MS Office applications to document patient care and manage administrative tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and exhibit flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist working in rehabilitation or outpatient settings.
• Experience working with a variety of patient populations, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A track record of developing effective treatment plans that demonstrate measurable patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
