Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager- California We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in plastics and rigid packaging to grow new business and expand our customer base. This is a true hunter role. The ideal candidate is someone who knows how to identify opportunities, open doors, build relationships with new customers, and turn prospects into long term business. What You’ll Do Identify and develop new business opportunities within the plastics and rigid packaging market Prospect, cold call, network, and build relationships with new customers Sell rigid plastic packaging solutions, including bottles, caps, closures, and related packaging components Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities from initial contact through close Work with customers to understand their packaging needs and identify the right solutions Build relationships with key decision makers across purchasing, engineering, operations, and other functions Prepare proposals, pricing, presentations, and customer meetings Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from new business development through production Track market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth Meet and exceed new business and revenue targets What We’re Looking For Proven business development or sales experience within plastics, rigid packaging, or packaging manufacturing Experience selling plastic bottles, caps, closures, or similar rigid packaging products Strong track record of new business development and prospecting A true hunter mentality with the ability to create opportunities rather than wait for inbound business Comfortable making cold calls, networking, and getting in front of new customers Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills Ability to manage a sales pipeline and consistently move opportunities forward Experience working with manufacturers and understanding the packaging sales cycle If you have a strong network within rigid plastic packaging and enjoy winning new business, we want to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Interactive Resources - iR
