Business Development Manager – Technology Industry $199,500–$249,500 We are recruiting for an exciting new Business Development Manager opportunity with a prestigious global law firm that is making a significant investment in growing its Technology Industry practice and client base in California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced law firm or professional services BD professional who understands the California technology landscape and can serve as a strategic partner to senior attorneys and firm leadership. The Manager will support the firm’s global Technology Industry Group and work closely with attorneys, practice leaders, the California Steering Committee, and the broader Business Development and Marketing team. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with senior attorneys on business development and strategic planning Identifying new business and client-growth opportunities Monitoring technology, regulatory, market, and competitive trends Developing client targeting strategies, pitches, RFP responses, and presentation materials Analyzing market opportunities and helping attorneys prepare for client meetings Tracking pipelines, pitch outcomes, and ROI on BD initiatives Supporting cross-practice and key-client growth initiatives Developing thought leadership, sponsorship, speaking, and client-program opportunities Supporting Chambers and other directory submissions Assisting with lateral attorney integration and California Steering Committee initiatives Working with and helping develop BD specialists Of particular interest are candidates who have a strong understanding of the evolving technology sector and emerging areas such as AI, data centers, quantum computing, and other technologies shaping the California market. Qualifications: 5+ years of professional services business development and marketing experience Law firm experience highly desirable Strong knowledge of the technology industry and California technology market Experience partnering directly with attorneys and senior stakeholders Strong strategic planning, client development, pitch/RFP, research, and writing skills Excellent communication, organizational, and project-management abilities Salesforce experience is a plus Location: Candidates must be able to work onsite three days per week in Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
