Work Environment\n

This position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while engaging with clients and families to provide essential support services. As part of a detox center, you will collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team, including clinical staff, nurses, and healthcare practitioners, to ensure cohesive and effective treatment. Scheduled work hours predominantly span Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility to accommodate client needs, including potential evening or weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients entering the detox program to determine needs and inform treatment plans.

• Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring they reflect each client’s unique goals and preferences.

• Provide counseling services that address the emotional, mental, and social challenges faced by clients and their families during recovery.

• Advocate for clients, connecting them with appropriate community resources, support services, and legal rights to enhance their recovery experience.

• Monitor client progress through regular follow-up visits, maintaining detailed documentation of assessments and treatment interactions.

• Facilitate family communication and conflict resolution, enhancing the involvement of family members in the client's recovery process.

• Promote client education on coping mechanisms, resources, and community programs designed to support long-term recovery.

• Stay updated on industry best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements related to social work and substance abuse recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with clients undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders, many of whom may face complex psychosocial challenges. You will also support seniors who are often dealing with multiple health and social issues that impact their well-being. Your role will be crucial in assessing their needs, guiding their navigation of the healthcare system, and ensuring they receive the necessary support and care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, qualifying you for state licensure.

• Valid and current LMSW licensure in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
