Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center, which fosters a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. You will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and fitness specialists. The clinic's hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive assessments.
• Create tailored treatment plans that align with patients' individual goals and needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Deliver individualized care sessions to patients while maintaining a manageable caseload to ensure quality attention.
• Employ a variety of manual therapy techniques and modalities suitable for orthopedic outpatient care.
• Support patients in their rehabilitation journey by educating them on alternative treatment methods, thereby reducing reliance on medications.
• Monitor and regularly assess progress to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation using EMR software, specifically Web PT, to track patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Incorporate exercises and wellness programs tailored to the rehabilitation needs and lifestyles of patients.
• Actively collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize overall patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment to promote compliance with rehabilitation protocols.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to continuously improve departmental practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with outpatient clients ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults rehabilitating from surgeries or managing chronic conditions. Your dedicated approach will help empower patients of all backgrounds to regain their independence and improve their overall health through customized therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy modalities and rehabilitation techniques.
• Strong ability to develop and implement successful exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient use of EMR software for documentation; familiarity with Web PT is an asset.
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy and related research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
