Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Centreville, Virginia. Our interdisciplinary team consists of healthcare professionals who collaborate to create the most effective treatment strategies for our patients. Your typical workweek will consist of 40 hours with variable weekends, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while ensuring comprehensive care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs.
• Provide expert consultations to other healthcare providers regarding the patient's continuum of care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, developing easy-to-understand resources to promote better health outcomes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate in departmental leadership functions, including community outreach and program development, while serving as a mentor to support staff.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust plans as necessary, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the utmost care.
• Supervise assigned support staff, offering guidance and training to optimize team performance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients seeking to regain mobility after injury. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is essential.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, coupled with competency in using electronic health records and other software systems.
• Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Preferred Experience
