Position Overview

Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our committed team. This role primarily focuses on providing high-quality therapy services to patients within a home care setting in Centreville, Virginia. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments to prevent disability, alleviate pain, enhance muscle function, and optimize performance in alignment with the established care plan.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of the care plan.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic assessments to inform treatment approaches.
• Assess the home environment to identify barriers to improvement and recommend suitable adaptations to enhance client independence.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services directly in clients' homes, ensuring therapeutic exercises and interventions align with physician orders.
• Administer manual therapies, traction, and other physical modalities to support rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations for modifications when necessary.
• Participate in the ongoing development and evaluation of care plans, documenting patient progress and any changes in conditions.
• Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences to assess overall treatment plans and collaborate on best practices for patient care.
• Document clinical records thoroughly, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
• Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on the utilization of therapeutic equipment and adherence to therapy programs.
• Support and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering effective patient care and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Respond to patient inquiries and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on observed changes in condition.
• Complete additional tasks as needed to meet the organization's goals and enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse population of clients in their homes, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or those requiring rehabilitative services post-hospitalization. These clients often face unique challenges that require tailored interventions and a compassionate approach to foster their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy in either acute or home care settings.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
