Ignite Change Through Communication in Hialeah, Florida – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us!
Imagine stepping into a role where your professional journey transforms lives every day — as a Speech Language Pathologist in the lively community of Hialeah, your mission extends beyond addressing communication and swallowing challenges. Here, you'll play a pivotal role in unlocking potential, fostering confidence, and nurturing human connections across generations, from children discovering the beauty of their first words to older adults striving to regain their independence.
This unique position provides you with the rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse clientele across all age groups in an environment that harmoniously combines outpatient therapy alongside occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, neurogenic communication in adults, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation in older adults, you will find not just fulfillment but also flexibility in your role here.
Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and insightful observational strategies.
Craft tailored treatment plans that guide clients toward their short and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to create a cohesive and effective care plan.
Provide education and resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions.
Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain prompt and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative learning opportunities to stay at the forefront of the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been earned yet.
Required state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities applicable to a broad spectrum of ages, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
A talent for adapting treatment approaches to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment paired with creative problem-solving skills.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and maintaining documentation standards.
Competitive salary that reflects your experience.
Flexible scheduling to promote a healthy work-life balance and a varied caseload.
Opportunities to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative culture that emphasizes quality care and lifelong education.
A Career That Inspires and Moves You
In your role, you will do more than provide expert speech therapy — you will join a community-focused mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating joyous moments through the simplest acts of understanding. You'll work in an environment where clinicians support each other like family, reinforcing a culture of collaboration rather than competition. Each patient possesses a unique story; we trust you to help narrate it in their voice.
