While the position is remote, occasional in-person meetings for team collaboration or training may be expected in Lakewood, WA.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver evidence-based mental health counseling and support to youth and young adults, focusing on their unique psychological and emotional needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health and psychosocial needs of clients and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize behavioral therapy techniques effectively to treat issues such as anxiety, depression, and other related disorders, adjusting approaches based on client progress.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate documentation for continuity of care.

• Engage in regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to enhance comprehensive patient care.

• Stay updated on best practices in mental health counseling and implement new therapeutic strategies within client sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with youth and young adults aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing mental health disorders, often in conjunction with substance abuse issues. As a compassionate clinician, you will address their individual concerns, provide crisis intervention when necessary, and refer clients to additional care resources as needed, ensuring they receive well-rounded support tailored to their specific situations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Washington State.
