Receptionist

Position: Receptionist Location: Onsite in UTC/La Jolla areaSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMPay Rate: $25-$26/hour, DOEEmployment Type: Temporary (through end of August) Overview:We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to support the day-to-day operations of a commercial office environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and service providers, while providing administrative support to the on-site operations team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional setting. Key Responsibilities:Serve as the initial point of contact, handling incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiriesRespond to customer service requests and escalate items as appropriateManage incoming and outgoing mail and general correspondenceEnsure phone and voicemail systems are functioning properlyIssue and deactivate access cards and coordinate key requestsMaintain vendor key sign-in/out logsKeep the front office and common areas presentable at all timesOrder and maintain office and kitchen supplies; assist with purchase orders as neededCreate and distribute general notices and communicationsTrack and follow up on service requests to ensure timely resolutionCoordinate with vendors and service providers to support daily operationsMaintain electronic and paper filing systemsAssist with conference room schedulingSupport tenant move-ins and move-outsUpdate internal databases, spreadsheets, and directoriesAssist with basic administrative tasks as neededQualifications:Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferredProficiency in Google Suite required; experience with Microsoft Office is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in an onsite office environmentDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
