Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, their severity, frequency, and impact on daily life, enabling a thorough understanding of their mental health status.

• Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, aspirations, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.

• Employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address and manage mood disorders.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, offering guidance on effective treatment options and self-care strategies that empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitoring clients' progress throughout their treatment, utilizing tools for assessment and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and treatment responses.

• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated care approach, crucial for achieving optimal patient outcomes.

• Staying informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment methodologies to enhance therapeutic practices and patient care.

• Maintaining thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation of client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to strict ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to continually enhance clinical skills, share insights, and develop as a professional.

• Advocating for clients, promoting the destigmatization of mental health issues, and ensuring their needs are addressed within the broader healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is primarily on individuals experiencing mood disorders. You will be working with a diverse client population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and socio-economic statuses. Your tailored approach will be essential in helping them navigate their challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically dealing with mood disorders and their impact on clients' lives.
\n
• A thorough understanding of California Law and Professional Ethics as it pertains to mental health treatment.
\n
• Ability to clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ as part of the licensing requirements.
\n
• Completion of a current TB test within the last six months.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or social/emotional disorders is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with addiction counseling and its intersection with mental health disorders is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
