Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing various assessment tools to identify their unique needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages and the family dynamics of each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to address various mental health concerns.

• Support families by delivering family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with the tools to foster nurturing environments for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a coordinated care plan that holistically addresses the mental health needs of our patients.

• Be prepared to offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate attention to high-risk situations involving young individuals.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to actively participate in their own care.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation conforming to legal and ethical standards, contributing to the integrity of patient records.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities, sharing insights and learning about the latest advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on children and adolescents facing mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to ADHD and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
