Adecco is assisting a customer in Whittier CA hiring for an Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounting Department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop a career in accounting and finance. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and other administrative accounting functions.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Process and enter invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.· Prepare and maintain accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.· Verify the accuracy of financial information and identify discrepancies.· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.· Maintain vendor and customer records.· Process customer payments and prepare bank deposits.· Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.· Assist with audits by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.· Perform data entry and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.· Support the Controller and Accounting team with special projects and other duties as assigned.· Sorting and FilingRequired Skills:· High school diploma or equivalent required.· Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.· Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is preferred.

• Shift 7:30 am - 4:30pm

• Pay range $23 - $25

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
