Business Development Manager

Rapp & Krock, PC is a business law firm serving small to medium-sized businesses with both transactional and litigation services across diverse industries. The firm combines large-firm caliber credentials with the personal attention, responsiveness, and cost-efficiency typically associated with smaller practices. Key practice areas include corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, banking and finance, labor and employment, intellectual property, business litigation, and estate planning. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Houston, TX. The Business Development Manager will execute marketing and business development strategies to expand the firm's client base and strengthen existing relationships. Rapp & Krock PC is seeking an energetic, self-starter to direct and manage various business development and marketing efforts of our attorneys, practice groups, and Firm as a whole. Must be highly motivated, team-minded, and engaging. Responsibilities include managing marketing campaigns, coordinating events and sponsorships, and supporting attorneys with goals, plans, proposals, and presentations. The role will involve oversight of firm's digital presence, including website and social media, and tracking metrics. The Manager will collaborate with firm leadership to identify target industries, create business development plans, manage budgets and vendors, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and practice groups. Qualifications Ability to identify and support strategic business development and marketing initiatives for the firm, attorneys, and practices; build strong working relationships with attorneys and partner with key stakeholders on execution. Strong skills in digital marketing, including website content management, email marketing platforms, and social media management. Ability to organize and manage events, sponsorships, and networking initiatives to support attorney and firm visibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, professional client-facing materials. Strong analytical and reporting skills to track performance, manage budgets, and present data-driven recommendations. Proven project management abilities, including prioritization, deadline management, and cross-functional collaboration. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred. Comfort working on-site with attorneys and staff in a collaborative, fast-paced setting, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
