- The nonprofit client is focused on breaking cycles of homelessness, addiction, and recidivism
- Provides housing, work opportunities, and holistic services
- Runs the Ready, Willing & Able program to help individuals reintegrate into society
Role Overview
- Position: Government Grants Analyst
- Reports to: Director of Government Grants
- Focus: grant accounting, billing, budgeting, and compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly billing reports for agencies (DHS, HASA, DOHMH, NYS AIDS Institute)
- Manage a portfolio of government contracts
- Track and ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenues across grants
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Partner with Accounts Payable and program teams
- Ensure full contract utilization and compliance with government regulations
- Support timely submission of reports and financial documentation
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years experience in government grants/contracts accounting
- Experience in a nonprofit (multi-service preferred)
- Strong skills in:
- Analytics
- Attention to detail
- Financial reporting
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Google tools
- Experience with Financial Edge (preferred)
