Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office setting in the picturesque Boca Grande area, known for its serene landscapes and vibrant community. Here, you will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals who share a passion for patient care. The typical work week consists of 40 hours, with some variable weekend coverage required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical conditions, create personalized treatment plans, and continually monitor patient progress.
• Implement therapy techniques, including exercises, hands-on therapy, and modalities, tailored to improve patients' mobility and reduce pain.
• Engage with patients to educate them about their treatment plans and empower them in their recovery journey.
• Document all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning, to comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, which includes physicians and nursing staff, to ensure seamless patient care continuity and discharge.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, enhance departmental functions, and contribute to marketing efforts.
• Supervise and mentor assistants, aides, and students during their training and day-to-day interactions.
• Maintain professional development by engaging in self-study and attending educational forums.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient clientele spanning across various age groups, each presenting unique challenges and care requirements. By developing personalized therapy strategies, you will help patients recovered from surgeries, manage chronic conditions, and improve overall functionality, thus playing a critical role in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Proficient in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with experience in outpatient settings and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities will be highly regarded. Previous engagement in community health initiatives or leadership roles is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
