Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments during initial consultations, documenting clients’ personal history and treatment goals.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional states to formulate individualized care plans.

• Design and implement intervention strategies suitable for various demographics including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focused on skill development and coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor and record client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, employing preventative measures and interventions to address them.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Balanced Being Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a diverse client base, ranging from young children and adolescents to adults and seniors, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction services. Our approach encourages clients to engage actively with their recovery process, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated expertise and experience as a mental health counselor, with a proven record of effective interventions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR.
