Accounting Manager

Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL. This role oversees daily and monthly accounting operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger activity, and ensuring accurate journal entries. The Accounting Manager monitors fixed assets, reconciles accounts, supports budgeting and forecasting, and maintains compliance with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities also include analyzing financial data, preparing reports for leadership, supporting audits, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The person in this role collaborates with program and administrative teams to provide clear, timely financial information that supports decision-making. Salary range US$75,000.00 to US$80,000.00 plus benefits (health insurance, 401K matching).

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Financial Statements and Finance, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret reports for leadership. Grant management and reporting experience highly recommended.
• Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting-GAAP & GAAS) and general ledger management, including reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Experience managing Fixed Assets, including tracking, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  professional certification (e.G., CPA) is a plus.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software and Excel;
  familiarity with nonprofit or fund accounting is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
