This role is pivotal in steering project teams towards achieving defined objectives, particularly in the realms of custom software development, system integration, and cloud-based solutions. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in guiding technical teams through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Key facts Location: Aurora, Arapahoe County Engagement: Full-time Compensation: $183,502 What you'll do Lead and coordinate project teams to meet specific project objectives, focusing on custom software development and cloud initiatives. Manage the entire Software Development Lifecycle, including application design, development, testing, and deployment phases. Oversee the migration of applications to cloud environments, ensuring effective collaboration between infrastructure and application teams. Act as a liaison among stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and ensure project alignment with business goals. Track project progress and make necessary adjustments to plans to meet deadlines and achieve objectives. Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments. Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving among team members. Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and celebrate milestones. Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project team members, promoting professional development and growth. Engage with clients to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring that the final product meets their expectations. Requirements At least 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on software development and cloud-related projects. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through the Software Development Lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and the processes involved in application migration. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of managing diverse teams and engaging with various stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget constraints. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is preferred. Familiarity with project management software and tools to facilitate planning and tracking. Nice to have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. Familiarity with software development frameworks and methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role is advantageous. Skills & tools Proficient in using project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project. Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.
