Emergency Department Technician, Adult ED, 36 Hours (Days/ Every Other Weekend/Holiday)

We invite you to join our Adult Emergency Department (level one trauma and comprehensive stroke center) as an Emergency Department Technician (24-36 hours per week, primarily day shift with alternate weekends and holidays) to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. Job Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education. Communicate with the healthcare team, patients, and families. Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data/information. Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies. Assist leadership in quality improvement projects as needed. Job Requirements Licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 1+ year RN experience preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required; additional certifications for certain units as needed. Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years. Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certification required for certain practice areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Physical ability to meet job responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency. Fluency in another language a plus.
