Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive counseling services, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques appropriate for each client’s unique needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate each client’s mental health status and identify specific needs and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families, adjusting approaches as necessary based on progress and feedback.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on the mental health needs of children and adolescents dealing with diverse challenges. You will work alongside families, guiding them through the therapeutic process and aiming to reduce stigma, encourage resilience, and foster a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

• An active mental health counselor license in the state of New York.
\n
• At least 2 years of direct experience providing mental health counseling services to youth populations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients and families.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

• Knowledge of, and proficiency in, various evidence-based counseling methodologies tailored to the youth demographic.

• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders when working with this population.

• Experience with handling crisis situations and implementing emergency management protocols in therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
