Position Details Job Title: Locksmith I (Monday - Friday 7:55 am - 4:25 pm) Location: Atlanta, Georgia Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 299276 Job Summary Install, repair, rebuild and service mechanical locking devices located at various entry points on and within campus buildings. Maintain related records. This position will interact on a consistent basis with coworkers, facility forepersons, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA. Responsibilities Install/replace locking devices at locations as assigned. Assemble/disassemble locks; repair/replace worn parts. Cut keys by code or by tracing. Store and maintain master keys for campus facilities. Requisition parts and materials as directed. Maintain records. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma. Required Experience: Two to three years of job related experience. Skills: Working knowledge of lock and access equipment installation and maintenance; knowledge and skills in proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment; maintaining stock; providing customer service; use of specialized computer applications. Additional Information This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position will not travel. This position does not require security clearance.
