Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work environment, providing flexibility while ensuring access to a supportive team of professionals. Our outpatient office is designed to foster collaboration and innovation, encouraging open communication and teamwork among mental health providers. The role typically follows a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using standardized tools to evaluate patients’ needs, strengths, and challenges, leading to the development of comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to provide effective treatment to individuals, couples, and families.

• Lead psychoeducational groups that aim to educate participants about coping strategies, emotion regulation, and the nuances of various mental health conditions.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to create a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring consistency and coordination in treatment strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute mental health crises, employing de-escalation techniques and emergency protocols to ensure patient safety.

• Enhance patients’ understanding of their conditions by providing education on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards while ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment progress and collaboratively refine approaches based on patient feedback and outcome data.

• Stay informed on the latest research developments and best practices in mental health care to continually enhance therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

• A relevant Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and experience with evidence-based treatment approaches is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
