Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions and working with couples and families, addressing their unique dynamics and challenges.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to guide clients through issues such as alcohol abuse, psychological abuse, grief and loss, and family conflict.
\n
• Facilitating effective communication and resolving conflicts among family members, which may involve working with all parties in various configurations.
\n
• Developing tailored treatment plans that reflect the needs and goals of each client, regularly assessing progress and making necessary adjustments.
\n
• Participating in clinical meetings and case reviews to enhance team collaboration and share best practices.
\n
• Providing resources and strategies that support clients during transitional periods, such as divorce, remarriage, and coping with medical concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your patients will vary widely in age and background, including adults seeking help for relationship challenges, as well as children and adolescents facing behavioral health issues. You will work with families undergoing difficult transitions, addressing matters like blending families, communication breakdowns, and the impacts of separation and divorce. This diverse client focus will demand a comprehensive understanding of family systems and dynamics, as well as a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to care.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid and active LMFT license in the state of Georgia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
