Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred Experience in telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and neuro stepdown Ability to manage complex patient needs Comfortable with interpreting and managing dysrhythmias Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care Description: This position involves providing care to patients in a progressive care unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5. The role requires expertise in telemetry and cardiac monitoring. Post-cardiac procedures require specific knowledge in care management. Patients may include those recovering from surgeries, cardiac incidents, and other medical conditions. The nurse will work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient needs. There will be a requirement for weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Floating may be required to meet the facility's needs. Wound care, isolation precautions, and infection control will be integral to the role. This position supports patients of varying age groups, including adults and geriatrics. The ideal candidate should have strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
