Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,279–$2,418 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 12-hour blocks. Work in a hospital-based ED providing care across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, interventions, and disposition planning for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Administer medications and continuous therapies per physician orders (including vasoactive medications and other critical infusions) and respond to code/trauma activations as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams; document care in the EMR (EPIC) and ensure accurate, timely charting
- Manage patient flow, assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and coordinate with ancillary services to support patient needs
- Provide support during high-acuity events (e.g., stroke, trauma, sepsis, MI) and participate in relevant protocols; assist with rapid assessment and prioritization
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized ED environment, including equipment readiness, infection control practices, and adherence to hospital policies

Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification
- Certifications: current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS; TNCC is required
- Experience: 3+ years of ED nursing experience; pediatric exposure strongly preferred; travel nursing experience required
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred
- Travel-specific conditions: must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility; locals may qualify for local rate
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Ability to float to different areas within the ED as needed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
