Work Environment

This role is onsite with an emphasis on home care, meaning you will travel to clients' residences in Elizabeth and surrounding areas. The work environment is dynamic and rewarding, allowing for personal interactions with clients and their families. You will conduct evaluations in home settings, providing direct hands-on treatment and utilizing advanced therapy equipment as needed. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities in their home environments to understand their specific needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices to achieve the goals set in your assessments.
• Administer diverse therapeutic modalities and hands-on techniques including therapeutic exercises, electrical stimulation, and heat and cold treatments to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
• Provide patient education on injury prevention, strategies for safe exercise, and guidance on optimal body mechanics.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting treatment outcomes and modifying care plans as necessary to ensure effective therapy delivery.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, cohesive care to patients.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions and treatment interventions to ensure accountability and quality assurance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes a diverse population, ranging from post-surgical patients requiring rehabilitation to elderly clients needing assistance with mobility challenges. You will engage with individuals experiencing conditions such as osteoarthritis, fractures, tendonitis, and various neurological disorders, customizing your approach based on each patient's unique history and health requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Candidacy for board certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a demonstrated ability to treat a variety of conditions.
• Proficiency in the latest therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to patient care.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for the effective assessment of patient needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients, family members, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
