Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence within clients' homes in Bonita Springs and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions, including their range of motion, strength, balance, and function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that target specific orthopedic issues, focusing on pain reduction, mobility enhancement, and strength improvement.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional training, gait analysis, and instruction on the use of assistive devices.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies to promote ongoing wellness at home.
• Utilize various hands-on techniques, such as manual therapy, massage, and modalities like heat and cold therapy, to enhance recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously using electronic health record systems and communicate updates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient cases, refine treatment strategies, and enhance clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. From newly operated joint replacement patients to those with sports-related injuries, you will encounter various scenarios that require adaptability and specific knowledge of orthopedic principles. Our focus is on helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through targeted rehab strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory.
• An active State Physical Therapy license is required to practice in Florida.
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapist, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective patient education and teamwork.
• Proficient clinical assessment skills that enable individualized care strategies for patient progression and outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
• Two or more years of experience within home care settings or in outpatient orthopedic facilities.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and proficiency in the latest therapeutic techniques for orthopedic treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
