Work Environment

This position is based in a home care facility, focusing on delivering therapeutic services directly to clients in their residences. Operating in a supportive and collaborative team setting, you will have direct access to patients and will execute treatment plans designed to fit their individual circumstances. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and optimizing the client's physical function.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the effective execution of the treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functionality through diagnostic tests to establish baselines and determine appropriate interventions.
• Assess clients' home environments to tailor rehabilitation strategies that enhance their independence and ensure safety.
• Provide direct physical therapy services in accordance with physician prescriptions, adapting interventions based on client response and progress.
• Administer a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual exercises, traction, and other modalities to enhance recovery.
• Perform evaluations, fittings, and adjustments of prosthetic and orthotic devices, and collaborate with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, to ensure proper documentation and continuity of care.
• Engage as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and ensuring comprehensive treatment for clients.
• Offer education and support to clients and their families regarding therapy programs, device use, and overall care strategies.
• Submit timely documentation according to company policies to support effective operational workflows.
• Conduct regular assessments to review and potentially revise client care plans based on ongoing evaluations and community resource utilization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves clients dealing with orthopedic issues that require rehabilitation post-surgery, injury, or due to age-related conditions. Your expertise will directly impact their recovery, helping them regain independence in daily activities through tailored treatment plans that accommodate individual needs and environmental factors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 1 year's experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and practices related to orthopedic recovery.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to ensure optimal patient and family engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a home care setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a home care or community-based setting.

Compensation and Benefits

New Balance Movement Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
