Work Environment\n

This role is structured to accommodate a remote working model, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while still engaging with clients in their community settings. However, you may also utilize our outpatient office as needed for certain group therapy sessions or collaborative meetings. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions as well as group sessions within outpatient settings, utilizing modalities that emphasize anger management, coping skills, and social interactions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on reducing high-risk behaviors and improving decision-making processes for both children and their caregivers.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to devise and implement effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and ideas that enhance the quality of care provided to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who are facing various developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will provide crucial support through in-home therapy, addressing issues such as behavioral challenges and emotional regulation. Your efforts will directly benefit special needs youngsters and their families, creating a positive impact in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory for this position.

• Candidates must pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are also required for community-based interventions.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience with positive behavior support methodologies is highly desirable.
\n
• Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental impairments (I/DD) is preferred.
\n
• Flexibility to work weekends and availability for 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) is an added advantage.
