Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the frequency, intensity, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients that align with their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to enhance client outcomes.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving client needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Remain informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic practices.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards while documenting client information responsibly.

• Advocate for mental health awareness and support clients’ rights, particularly those overcoming systemic challenges such as homelessness or domestic violence.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals facing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also engage with vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and find paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a current, active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
