Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gain insight into each client’s mental health status and create individualized therapy plans.

• Facilitate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, based on each client’s specific needs.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, actively participating in case discussions and strategy planning.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to remain updated on best practices and advancements in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with adolescents and their families. Many of these families have limited access to mental health services, and your skills will be vital in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Your role will significantly impact their lives by promoting resilience and guiding them towards healthier emotional states.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Demonstrated experience in counseling, with a minimum of two years in a clinical setting.

• Strong comprehension of ethical and legal standards governing the practice of counseling.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling is highly desirable.

• Experience working within a telehealth setting or familiarity with digital health modalities.

• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other digital counseling tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual compensation of USD 70,000 to 90,000, depending on experience and client caseload. Additionally, you will receive assistance with billing and documentation, allowing you to focus more on client care and less on administrative tasks. A generous sign-on bonus may also be available to qualified candidates.
