Summary:
The Accounting Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to our Finance and
Accounting teams. Responsibilities include processing invoices, resolve discrepancies, vendor
statement reconciliations, and various other accounting tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
• Process invoices, log discrepancies, resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Filing when needed
• Review check registers for check runs
• Perform other duties as assigned by AP Manager
• Work mandatory overtime as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity or working knowledge of finance regulations
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
• Excellent data entry skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task
• Able to demonstrate problem solving skills
• Able to prioritize and work well under pressure in a fast paced working environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team
