Regional Dry Van Company Driver W2 - Fairfield, CT
Are you a CDL-A driver searching for an OTR position that offers weekly home time and requires minimal physical effort? Look no further than American Trucking Group, where we provide dry van routes throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, backed by top-notch equipment and competitive pay.
Home Time:
- Experience weekly home time for a 34-hour reset. Our OTR routes ensure a steady flow of miles while allowing you to maintain connections with family and personal commitments.
Equipment:
- Drive late-model International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks, equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for climate control. Take your assigned truck home, provided there is safe parking.
No Touch Freight:
- Primarily engage in dry van freight with 95% no-touch and 85% drop and hook operations. This minimizes physical work, allowing you to focus on driving efficiently.
Pay and Miles:
- Our drivers typically earn between $1,200 and $1,600 weekly, depending on mileage and performance. Additional compensation includes detention pay based on customer policy, layover pay of $12 per hour after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free performance.
Running Area:
- Routes cover Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky. All tolls are covered through EZ Pass and toll cards.
Benefits:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance begins on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Enjoy $20,000 in company-paid life insurance, vacation pay, and a 401(k) plan with a 50% company match up to 3%. A passenger policy is available after 30 days with age restrictions.
