The Northern Family Medicine Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Macon, Georgia. Work Environment

This position is primarily based onsite, focusing on non-clinical settings where you will interact directly with patients in their own environments. Working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., you will find the flexibility of house call visits profoundly rewarding as you foster strong relationships with your patients while addressing their health needs directly in their own communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments including thorough history-taking and physical exams relevant for individual patient needs.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records according to regulatory standards.
• Engage in shared decision-making by consulting with patients about their health options and establishing reasonable medical diagnoses.
• Address both chronic conditions and acute health concerns, rapidly determining medical urgency where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with a supervising physician to ensure the highest standard of care, seeking specialty consultations when needed.
• Administer medications and perform all nursing duties as per state regulations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide healthcare services to a diverse patient population with an emphasis on adult and geriatric patients. The NP will also have the opportunity to engage in programs focused on specific areas such as pediatric and women’s health, ensuring tailored care that meets unique patient needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Family Health or a related field from an accredited nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted national certification as a Nurse Practitioner from recognized organizations such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• Current state-issued license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Georgia.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals certification.
• Possession of a current, unrestricted driver's license, allowing for travel to patient sites.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in chronic disease management and preventative care is highly favorable.
• Familiarity with working in diverse environments including home health care, community clinics, or similar settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 150,000, commensurate with experience, education, and geographic location.
