LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established professional services organization in Nassau County, Long Island to identify an Accounts Payable Coordinator for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow with a stable organization.
Responsibilities
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices while ensuring proper approvals are obtained
- Enter invoices into the Aderant accounting system accurately and efficiently
- Process vendor payments, prepare checks for signature, and distribute payments
- Review vendor statements and reconcile discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve vendor payment inquiries
- Research outstanding and uncashed checks and coordinate reissuance when necessary
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with matter maintenance within Aderant
- Record incoming wire transfers and electronic payments
- Prepare bank deposits and record transactions in the accounting system
- Process client credit card payments
- Investigate and apply incoming payments lacking remittance information
- Support trust and escrow accounting activities
- Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or currently pursuing a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Aderant and/or Chrome River is highly preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong work ethic and sense of accountability
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a customer service approach
