Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual meetings, documenting the client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral status from the initial consultation to completion of treatment.

• Develop personalized treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging open discussion and providing guidance tailored to client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies to maximize effectiveness based on feedback and outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health specialists to create comprehensive care plans.

• Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients who may require hospitalization or additional interventions.

• Identify any behavioral challenges that may hinder recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these issues.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

• Successful completion of required national exams, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, and a strong ability to adapt to new technologies.
\n
• Solid understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including substance use disorders, and the ability to integrate this understanding into client treatment plans.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities that facilitate constructive interactions with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in conducting telehealth sessions and understanding the nuances of virtual therapy.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.
\n
• Knowledge of the implications of prescribed medication and treatments initiated by medical staff, particularly in relation to mental health.

• A proven track record of successful outcomes in client treatment and recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
