Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting 4th graders through a cross-categorical instructional program. This contract role will be based in a structured elementary setting near Cicero, IL, focusing on a diverse group of learners who benefit from differentiated support in academics, behavior, communication, and daily living skills.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification for the state
• Experience creating and implementing IEPs for students with a range of special needs
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet both grade-level standards and individualized goals
• Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, sensory accommodations, and behavioral/social-emotional interventions
• Effective collaboration with program/1:1 aides and related service providers
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students in a 4th grade special education classroom
• Write, update, and implement IEP goals; monitor and document student progress
• Utilize structured, visual, and sensory supports within instruction
• Plan and integrate behavioral and social-emotional interventions as needed
• Maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment in partnership with program aides and additional staff
• Collaborate with related service providers to ensure a holistic approach to student success
