Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for clients, capturing their emotional, social, and financial needs to inform individualized care plans.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions that focus on adjustment, grief, and coping strategies for clients confronting various life challenges.

• Collaborate with medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses mental, emotional, and physical health.

• Facilitate connections with community organizations for post-discharge support, aiding clients in their transition back into the community.

• Offer emotional guidance and education regarding treatment options, resources, and coping mechanisms to clients and their families.

• Participate in team meetings and committees to provide expert insight on social work matters and contribute to policy improvements.

• Engage in crisis intervention and counseling, offering immediate support to clients and families experiencing urgent mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving clients within the Latinx community, a group that often faces unique cultural and linguistic barriers to accessing mental health services. You will provide support to individuals experiencing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Your work is essential in helping to bridge the gap that many in this community face regarding mental health resources.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
