Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments to accurately identify client needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Provide tailored psychotherapy in both short-term and long-term formats for individuals, families, or groups facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.

• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that complies with clinic policies and state regulations, ensuring all required materials are submitted in alignment with broader treatment goals.

• Engage in active collaboration with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and fellow therapists, coordinating care and developing comprehensive treatment strategies to optimize client outcomes.

• Participate in regular supervision, team case consultations, and staff meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and collectively develop solutions.

• Advocate for client needs by connecting them to essential resources and support systems in the community when appropriate, enhancing their recovery journey.

Your expertise will play a crucial role in facilitating their recovery, addressing multifaceted needs with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• Current LCSW license in New York State is a requirement for this position.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure is preferred; however, recently licensed LCSWs who are eager to develop their skills are also encouraged to apply.

• Experience and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective client engagement and collaboration with the care team.

• A strong commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusivity in mental health care is paramount.

• Demonstrated experience in working with underserved populations, particularly BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and immigrant communities, is highly valued and will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
